Greetings Sailors! Commodore LeBlanc and I are excited to announce that the team racing program at SYC is taking yet another step forward, building on the successes under Commodore Wade and Commodore Potts. With the unwavering support of the Governing Board, I am honored to take the reins once again this year, and would like to invite all interested sailors to regardless of the level of team racing experience, to join the 2010 SYC Team Racing Program. Please join us at our first informational session January 28 at 6pm at the club. But even if you can't make it, there are plenty of ways to get involved, it’s certainly not too late to get involved. We have several events already on the calendar, including home and away regattas, as well as several practice sessions at SYC to get everyone up to speed on the special rules, tactics and strategies in team racing. We will have a new fleet of Flying Scots, and team-colored sails that make spectating a real pleasure from the newly completed deck off the club bar.
