US SAILING Announces 2009 US Sailing TeamAlphaGraphics Southern Yacht Club members Mark LeBlanc and Katy Lovell have been named to the new 2009 US Sailing Team AlphaGraphics (USSTAG). Fueled by elite sailing talent and leadership, the Olympic Sailing Program is building momentum towards the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Weymouth/Portland, England. The new team consists of rising sailing stars as well as many top sailors in the world. Katy Lovell was chosen in the Elliott 6 meter Women's Match Race Class and Mark has been chosen in the 2.4mR (Open One Person Keelboat) of the Paralympic Class. Last year Mark won the 2.4mR US Nationals at Noroton CN. Katy placed eighth in the 2009 Rolex Women's Match Racing Championshipin Miami.
