ROUGAROU wins fifth GYA Friedrichs Trophy GULFPORT, Miss. — Burt Benrud's Melges 32, ROUGAROU, has represented SYC in the last ten GYA Challenge Cups. In five of those years, she has won Class A and with it, the Buddy Friedrichs Trophy — most recently this year, skippered by Johnny Lovell (pictured with Burt and crew). Unfortunately, New Orleans YC fielded a strong team and was able to end SYC's ten-year winning streak of overall Challenge Cup victories. Click image for results.
