Records fall in Pensacola Race
PENSACOLA, Fla. — Randy Smyth's Farrier 25C trimaran, YO!, has smashed the Gulfport to Pensacola Race course record with an elapsed time of 6h:44m:02s. This is over three hours faster than the previous record set in 2015. Gene Walet's 23-year-old monohull record, set aboard SAGA, a N/M 68, was bested by four boats led by John Dane III's WAR CANOE (Melges 32) with an elapsed time of 8h:23m:09s. The overall corrected time winner is Benz Faget on Doug Dovie's MacGregor 25, EVIL INTENTIONS. Click thru for more.
